NOTICE BOARD
The gurdwara is said to be the home of the Guru or doorway into a guru's house, the term being derived from Punjabi, guru, "A teacher, religious guide" and duara, means, "A door." People of all religious backgrounds or of no religious faith are welcomed into a Sikh Gurdwara. However, it is necessary that any visitors remove their shoes, wash their hands and cover their head with a rumal before entering the Darbar Sahib. Visitors are also forbidden to go into the gurdwara while they are inebriated or possess alcohol, cigarettes or any intoxicating substances.
Gurudwara Sri Dasmesh Darbar, is situated in Papatoetoe, Auckland, New zealand, is a worship place (gurudwara) where the Sikhs congregate for worship and prayer (the Gurdwaras), and joining the congregation, partake of the benefits that the study of the holy scriptures bestows.
